International Day of Yoga

On 27 September 2014, the United Nations General Assembly, with the support of 177 members, passed a resolution to celebrate International Day of Yoga every year on 21st of June. Since then it has been celebrated in large numbers across the world.

There can perhaps be no greater endorsement than this of the universal appeal and effectiveness of Yoga for the health and well-being of all people.

The day has a special significance for me as my book was officially launched during these celebration in June 2018 by the High Commissioner of India along with Swami Ramdev, a yogic phenomena who has transformed spread of yoga in India and across the world.

Some pictures from the above celebration showing my yoga class at the High Commission which kicked off the day and some pictures of the event held in London.
